The Borana Conservancy is nestled between an arid landscape to the north and ancient indigenous forests to the south. This 32,000-acre conservation area is home to both Black and White Rhino and a wide variety of other endangered species.Borana lodge is located at the foot of Mt Kenya just North of the equator, resting on the Laikipia Plateau. From Borana, you will fly to the Masai Mara, a vast savannah teeming with life. You will see prides of lion, elephant herds, cheetah, leopard, and more. Meet us at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi Overnight at Emakoko An Asilia guide will meet you at the international airport and transfer you to your hotel by private vehicle for the night. At Emakoko, you can relax and recover from your flight as you stay in a peaceful valley in the heart of the Nairobi National Park, enjoying a taste of safari from the first moment of your trip. Prolific for its unique location bordering Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi National Park is both the oldest and smallest park in Kenya. Established in 1946, the park is home to predators including lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena as well as other large mammals such as buffalo, black rhino and giraffe. Located a short 45-minute drive from Nairobi’s major airports, The Emakoko is the ideal alternative to a city hotel when traveling to Kenya.
Fly to Borana Conservancy Overnight at Borana Lodge Heading to Borana Conservancy, you will be driven to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to Lewa Airstrip. here, you will be met by a guide from Borana, and transferred to the conservancy, enjoying a game drive on your way to the lodge, where you will arrive in time for lunch. At Borana, you can immerse yourself in various exciting activities such as game drives, invigorating walking safaris, horse riding or camel safaris, as you discover the wildlife-rich Lewa-Borana Conservancy. You have a good chance of seeing white or black rhino here, as well as big cats, elephant, and species unique to northern Kenya, such as Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe.
Transfer to Sarara Camp Overnight at Sarara Camp From Borana, you will transfer back to Lewa Airstrip where a guide from Sarara will meet you for your transfer into Samburu. In the northern frontier of Kenya, in the heart of Samburu, lies Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, an area of 850,000 acres of pristine wilderness in the Matthews Range. This remote landscape is home to the indigenous Samburu people whose age-old traditions are as much a part of the fabric of this land as the wildlife. This is one of Kenya’s most unique and beautiful wilderness areas, with many activities to enjoy during your stay, including time spent with the beautifully adorned Samburu people, witnessing the age-old traditions of the singing wells or visiting the community-run Reteti elephant orphanage.
Flight to the Masai Mara Overnight at Cottar’s 1920 Camp Embark on a game drive to the airstrip and take a flight to the Masai Mara to begin the final leg of your Kenyan safari adventure. Along the way, you can stop to enjoy big cat sightings or other wildlife while en route to the camp, where lunch and a warm welcome await you. Cottar’s is situated in a conservancy, ensuring an unspoiled and uncrowded experience with wildlife, as well as additional activities such as walking safaris, balloon flights, and community visits. Throughout the year, you can discover various animals in the vast savannah plains, from lion prides lounging to cheetah stalking gazelle in the long grass and pods of hippo splashing in a river. Salute the setting sun with a sundowner before returning to camp for dinner.
Flight to Wilson Airport Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Game drive to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where an Asilia driver will meet you for the short transfer to the international airport for your onward flight.
